The LadiesFirst Awards event, hosted by BBC broadcaster and TV presenter Sandra Godley and LadiesFirst founder Tracey McAtamney, recognised female entrepreneurs from across the country for their ability to succeed in the face of adversity and tragedy.
The Achieves in Business award is for a woman who continues to go the extra mile, who has not only earned the respect of her superiors to rise as a business leader but also has earned the admiration from her peers.
Since her early 20s, Samantha has dedicated herself to Pertemps and embodies the spirt and ethos of the business. She’s carved an 18-year career within logistics and took on the role as a branch manager at only 22 years of age. After proving herself in that role, she had the vision to create a driver training function within the Pertemps group, the Pertemps Driving Academy and PDT Fleet Solutions.
Samantha said: “It was a real shock. I wasn’t expecting to win, but I’m so grateful to the judges for choosing me and Pertemps for putting me forward.
“It’s a true honour to be recognised amongst so many inspiring and motivational women from across the region. I share this with all my other female colleagues, who continue to go above and beyond to provide an exemplary service.”
Huge congratulations to Samantha from everyone at Pertemps!
